The Last Post (for a day or three)

It has been a hectic little period, made the more pleasant by catching up with Aki briefly on Sunday and assisted with my tiskets and taskets by the PRB on Monday and Tuesday.
I managed to turn up to the Mt Ainslie run-up today, not fully cogniscent that it was an annual handicap run. It was a good format for a change, although I thought that the 3:00 start time was rather optimistic!
I have the run tough, but satisfying . . . I took some Ventolin during the run which made it easier to breathe.
In the evening I had the most satisfying ACT Cross Country run today, maybe not at a blistering pace (31:40ish for 5k), but it was a glorious Canberra summer evening around the shores of lake Burley Griffin, the sun was still shining, the ducks, pelicans and swans with their cygnets were out in force and the town looked a picture.
My long awaited surjour in hospital will commence tomorrow, although I hope to be out on Friday (OK, maybe the weekend). Blogging might be a tad difficult until then, although I'll try. The wonders of modern technology! I'm looking forward to the third Test, I'm a bit annoyed that I was away from the radio and tv so much during the day and only caught up with the final exciting overs. No more gloating. Much.
Well done on the run FD and best of luck with everything at hospital.
Yes great win that ! :)
Hope the "Op" fixes you "Up".
Hope you return to better health.
Wow - I have just been reading about your NZ trip. It brings back such memories especially that unreliable weather! I do hope your op and recovery go well. Lots of thoughts are going your way. xx
Rad reported on his visit with PRB to see you, and said you looked well.
:-))
Out by the weekend is fast! No time to visit... Hope it went well FD. You'll be flying again in no time.
